Esports enthusiasts are always seeking new ways that they can add to their enjoyment and one option for many is to consider profiting from their esports expertise by betting on the variety of popular esports tournaments played every year. The esports betting sector is growing every month, but with so many betting sites to choose from, it isn’t always easy to find the best options.
There are plenty of traditional sportsbooks out there that offer esports betting markets, but EGB is one of the new wave of esports-focused betting sites that are taking on the older operators by providing a platform dedicated to the requirements of esports betting fans. In this exclusive review, we will be looking at the EGB esports betting service, covering all of the angles, including the quality of its odds, the variety of its markets and the efficiency of the EGB customer support and banking options.
EGB & eSports Betting
Fast Registration at EGB
If you’re planning to sign-up with a new betting site, you don’t want to be hit with unnecessary delays and endless form-filling. That’s why we were pleased to see that EGB have a fast and effective sign-up process that comes with minimal delay.
You can start the process of registering by clicking on the yellow ‘Sign Up’ button, which is found at the top right of the home page. Clicking here opens the registration form which gives you two options. There is a fast sign-up choice, which offers a quicker signing up process, in which you simply provide your name and email address, or a fuller process, in which you give more contact details, although both methods involve completing just one online form.
Users who opt for the faster sign-up service will have to complete the remaining identification details when they make their first deposit, and the site may ask for further identity verification in the form of an e-copy of a passport or driving licence at any time, in line with industry standards. But overall, we were impressed with the smooth and well-designed sign-up methods at EGB.
An Astonishing Range of eSports Betting
If you’ve ever had a look at one of the mainstream online sportsbooks, you will know that not all betting companies provide a full range of esports betting options. In fact, some sites stick to offering betting on CS:GO, Dota 2 and little else. So, we were pleased to see that EGB do better.
The site has been designed to provide esports betting fans with all they need to bet on their favourite sports, and that means they offer markets on all the major sports. Their coverage of Dota 2 and CS:GO is solid, but they also provide betting options for a range of sports, including Fortnite, Rocket League, PUBG, Hearthstone and Rainbow Six. EBG covers 20 sports in all and provides markets on most of the high profile esports tournaments, along with a scattering of minor events.
- League of Legends
- Counter Strike: Global Offensive
- Call of Duty
- Dota 2
- Rocket League
- Apex Legends
- Rainbow Six
- Starcraft 2
- World of Warcraft
- Heroes of the Storm
- NBA 2K19
- Rocket League
- Star Craft: Remastered
- World of Tanks
Excellent Market Depth
We were also pleased to find that EGB back up this impressive selection of sports with plenty of market depth. It is all too common for sportsbooks to offer only the basic match winner or tournament winner markets, but EGB provide more betting opportunities. For example, we looked at a fairly low-profile CS:GO game at a minor tournament and found that EGB offered six markets for the event.
It is also good to see that EGB provide competitive odds. Finding the best price is one of the keys to success in sports betting, and comparing the EGB odds to the average for the industry, we found that they offered solid value, with some odds being higher than you might find with most sites. Dedicated esports betting fans will certainly find plenty to choose from at this site.
Solid In-Play Betting Site
The rapid increase in demand for esports betting has been matched by the surge in popularity of live betting over the last ten years, and these days all sports betting fans expect to be able to bet on their favourite sports. Esports fans are no different, and esports is ideal for live betting; a fast-moving sector of the betting industry, where quick reflexes and volatile odds are integral components.
Some sites don’t offer the full range of live betting opportunities that esports fans would like, but EGB definitely does not come into that category. You can access the live betting markets through the yellow ‘Live’ button at the centre of the EBG home page, and this opens a wealth of in-play events. Live betting fans can choose from a list of live betting events, which can be categorised according to the sport by clicking on the helpful icons at the top of the page.
We were also pleased to see that EGB offer live streaming. Being able to watch the event live as your bet is an essential part of in-play betting and the EGB live streaming service provides coverage of all the major esports events. Overall, this is one of the best live esports betting platforms around.
Great for Mobile Betting
The majority of betting fans choose to use their mobile devices rather than their desktop computers to access the internet, and that means that esports betting fans have come to expect the ability to be able to bet on their favourite sports and players on the go without any problems.
EGB do offer an app for Android systems, which can be downloaded through the site, and which offers smooth access to all of the site’s main features. But the site itself is also mobile-friendly and can be used without difficulty through any mobile device. Access is quick and easy, and the site runs well using mobile browsers, providing users with full access to the EGB platform.
Second Rate Licensing Credentials
No matter what transaction you are carrying out online, you need to know that the site you are using is safe and reputable, and that is the same for betting fans as for all of us.
A good way of being reassured about a betting site is to check out its licensing credentials. Unfortunately, in the case of EGB, these are not particularly impressive. The site is licensed by Curacao, and although this is a common licensing authority in the online gaming industry, it lacks the reputation of some of the bigger authorities, such as the UKGC and the MGA.
We were also disappointed not to find any certificates or records of audit from independent organisations or even any links with a gambling charity or gambling organisation. Taken as a whole, these oversights will be a concern for some esports betting fans.
Reliable Banking Service

|Payment Methods: Visa, MasterCard, Skrill, NETELLER, Bitcoin, Bank Transfer, Allpay, UnionPay, ecoPayz||Visa, MasterCard, Skrill, NETELLER, Bitcoin, Bank Transfer, Allpay, UnionPay, ecoPayz|
No matter what sport you are betting on, you don’t want to be hit by unnecessary delays when you’re making withdrawals or deposits and esports betting fans expect to be able to make rapid banking transactions using their preferred payment methods. EGB allows you to make deposits using: Visa, Mastercard, paysafecard, NETELLER, Skrill, Bitcoin, Allpay.com, UnionPay, ecoPayz, CardPay, PayAnyWay.
That represents a healthy array of banking options, including some of the most popular e-wallet methods along with traditional card options, and the freedom to use Bitcoin.
Processing times at EGB appear to be relatively quick, with card payments taking approximately 5-10 days to be processed, while e-wallet deposits and withdrawals will go through within hours and there is a maximum time of 60 minutes for Bitcoin transactions. Customers are allowed to make one fee-free withdrawal per month, although there are fees associated with subsequent withdrawals, which is disappointing, overall, we consider this to be a solid banking platform that will meet the needs of most esports fans.
Fantastic $600 Sign-Up Offer at EGB
Esports betting fans who regularly bet on their favourite events online know that online esports betting sites like to offer enticing welcome bonuses to encourage new players to sign-up with them, but even in a competitive market, the EGB welcome bonus stands out for its generosity.
EGB appear to have focused on outclassing their rivals because they offer a welcome bonus that could be worth up to $600. When you register a new account at the EGB site and make your first deposit, EGB commit to matching it 100% up to a total of $600. So, in theory, if you were to deposit $600 with EGB, you would be given another $600 in free bets.
The bonus is awarded to your account in stages, as you bet, and bonuses have to be used within three months of being awarded. There appear to be no wagering conditions associated with the bonus, although you won’t be able to withdraw the bonus amount if the total in your account is lower than the value of your bonus. It is important to bear these terms and conditions in mind, but overall, we feel that the EGB welcome bonus is one of the best around.
A User-friendly eSports Betting Platform
Finding the esports markets can often be a frustrating experience for esports fans, as traditional bookmakers don’t always make it easy to navigate to their esports section. But there are no such problems at EGB, which is dedicated to meeting the needs of the esports betting fan.
The EGB site is clearly laid out. When you open the home page, you are given various options to navigate to your preferred markets, using the live, tournament, express and simple bets links. At the top of the page, you will see a number of ongoing live streams that you can watch without betting, while at the bottom of the home page, you can find the latest esports news and promotions, and there is a dedicated EGB chat facility on the right of the home page.
You can also bring up all of the esports betting markets by clicking on the ‘Play’ link at the top of the page, which in turn enables you to filter the markets by esport. And there is an EGB shop offering various gaming items, including loot boxes and gadgets. EGB is well-designed and easy to use site that should fit the needs of all esports betting fans.
High Quality Customer Service
From time to time, things may go wrong while you’re betting on esports or you may have a query that you want to resolve quickly. That’s when it’s good to know that a site has a serious and effective customer support service.
So, we were pleased to find that EGB offer one of the best customer support platforms around. You can get in touch with the customer services team directly through an online chat facility, which is available on a 24/7 basis. There are also four separate email addresses that you can use to contact the team for support, and a comprehensive FAQ section that covers a wide range of issues.
